Agadir, is situated along the southern Atlantic coast in Morocco.  It is the capital of the Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane province and is a resort area known for its golf courses, wide crescent beach and seaside promenade lined with cafes, restaurants and bars.

Rebuilt after a devastating 1960 earthquake, it has modern architecture and an easily navigable street grid.

Agadir attracts visitors from many parts of the world because of its:

  1. Sunshire – it is rarely without sunshire,
  2. Years of history, and
  3. Picturesque landscapes.

This place is ideal for families looking for a relaxing holiday. Agadir caters mainly to package-tour holidaymakers, and will appeal less to independent travellers with an interest in Moroccan culture. Families will also enjoy relaxing on the beach and wandering around the handful of sights.

First established as a fish trading port in the 1500’s, it’s the Berber roots were in Commerce.  European influences over the centuries have only strengthened its reputation as a major port and the primary agricultural source for Morocco’s Souss region.

This place feels unlike no where else in Morocco.
