Much of East Africa is off the beaten track for British Holidaymakers.

There a re a number of trouble spots in this region where tourist should seek official advice before venturing there; Somalia & Somaliland and Sudan & South Sudan, to name but two of them.  

Kenya remains a popular destination for British tourists for good reason.  The country has some great  holiday resorts on the Indian Ocean and a plethora of National Parks including the world famous Maasai Mara.

Tanzania is where to find the Kilimanjaro National Park which, lying close to the border with Kenya, is the site of Mount Kilimanjaro.
